Iron Dextran-100 Injection is a sterile solution containing ferric hydroxide in complex with a low molecular weight dextran fraction equivalent to 100 mg elemental iron per mL with 0.5% phenol as a preservative .
INDICATION: Cattle , sheep , goat , swine : Iron Dextran-100 Injection is intended for the prevention or treatment of anemia in animal due to iron deficiency .
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRAION : For deeply intramuscular injection only .
Prevention : At 2-4 days of age.
Calf : 3 mL (300 mg iron ) .
Lamp : 2 mL (200 mg iron ) .
Baby pig :1 mL (100 mg iron ) .
Treatment : Calf : 3 mL (300 mg iron ) .
Lamp : 2 mL (200 mg iron ) .
Baby pig :1 mL (100 mg iron ) .
Cattle :8 mL (800 mg iron ) .
Sheep and goat :4 mL (400 mg iron ) .
If necessary the dosage may be repeated after 10 days’ interval .
WARNING : For animal use only . Keep out of the reach of children . Discontinue in animal 0 days before slaughter .If disease is present in the litter CONSULT A VETERINARIN.
Store at controlled room temperature 15-30℃(59-86℉) .
